The story behind the man
Heath comes from Lander, Wyoming and when he looks back on his childhood there he can’t help but think of good old down home cooking. It was that do it from scratch and do it right approach to food preparation that took root and eventually blossomed into his love for the culinary arts. He moved from there to the wonderful Farmington area when he was still young and it was here that he called home.
Heath went on to get his culinary degree from CNM in Albuquerque. He then used his newly acquired skills as a Souse Chef at Scalo Northern Italian Grill. Scalo is currently listed in Gourmet magazine as one of the top 100 places to eat.
Heath then went on to work at the Santa Ana Casino at the Prairie Star restaurant where he was the executive chef. It was here that he maintained a consistent “4 Star “rating for the restaurant and won Executive Chef of the Year in 2006. However, after 10 years of service there he decided that it was time to get back to his roots and his family here in Farmington.
Heath comes to us with his family with his beautiful wife Tessa and his two children 4 year old Madilynn and 1 year old Kolby.
Heath is now OUR Executive Chef here at the San Juan Country Club and we are honored to have someone with his experience and of his quality as a member of our team.
