RULES & REGULATIONS
MGA Wednesday Night Golf League
FLIGHTS: Consisting of (?) flights, with (6) two-man teams in each flight. Call the Golf Shop @ 505-325-6276, or e-mail your team into the league at jrroth4golf@comcast.net
PLAY: The “captain” of each team is listed first. Captains are responsible for
arranging matches. THE SHOTGUN START IS 5:30, AND THE SHOTGUN WAITS
FOR NO ONE! Your professional staff will distribute scorecards. Please return
scorecards to Jeff Roth in the Men’s Lounge after golf for posting.. All play will be from
the GOLD tee markers.
FORMAT: Round Robin Matches will have a potential (4) points for each match. Two
(2) points are awarded to the winning team for the net best-ball on a match play basis.
Two (2) points are awarded to the team with the low aggregate (NET) stroke total. Ties
result in splitting points; (1) to each team.
HANDICAPS: Full and current handicap indexes will be used. ½ strokes will be used
where necessary. The low handicapper will play at scratch. The other golfers will
reduce their handicaps by the amount of the low handicapped player.
MAKE-UP MATCHES: You may play a match before the scheduled Wednesday;
however, please note that this is a Wednesday Night Golf League! PLEASE USE THIS
OPTION AS A LAST RESORT!!
NO SHOWS: Points for aggregate net will be forfeited; however, one team member can
play against another team for the best-ball points. A late team member to the match
can join the match already in progress!
SUBSTITUTES: Any San Juan Country Club Member with an established handicap is
allowed to substitute. Only one sub per team, per match is allowed. NO SUBSTITUTES
ON POSITION NIGHT!
POSITION NIGHT: Everyone plays! Teams finishing in the top 2 spots in each flight
will play for their flight championship.
All other teams play that evening for low net best-ball in each flight for the weekly
store credit.
The top two teams in each flight playing for their respective Flight Championships
will play low aggregate net, on a match play basis!
However; the LEAGUE CHAMPION WILL BE THE TEAM SCORING THE LOW
AGGREGATE NET TOTAL SCORE, amongst all Position Night Teams!
